Pet Vault was born from a simple frustration: why isn't there a great app for managing pet health records?
The Story
We're a family in British Columbia, Canada with two young daughters, a rescue cat named Monterey, and a golden retriever puppy named Jack joining us soon. When we adopted Monterey, we realized we needed a better way to track her vaccinations, vet visits, and daily care.
We tried every pet app out there. Some did records okay but had clunky interfaces. Others had nice designs but limited features. None of them did everything well - family sharing, reminders, document storage, daily care logging - in one place.
With a background in tech and software development, I decided to build the app I wished existed. Pet Vault is what happens when a pet parent who happens to be a developer gets frustrated enough to do something about it.

Wait, Monterey Jack?
Yes, we named our cat Monterey. Then when picking puppy names, someone said "Monterey... Jack. Like the cheese." The pun was too good to ignore. My wife runs Monterey × Jack, a pet brand celebrating the bond between families and their animals. Pet Vault is the tech side of that same love for pets.
