Origin & History
Norwich Terriers developed in East Anglia, England, as ratters. They were popular with Cambridge University students in the 1880s and called 'Cantab Terriers.' They were shown with drop-eared dogs until 1964 when they were separated into Norwich (prick ears) and Norfolk (drop ears). The AKC recognized them in 1936.
